Bach's intricate "Triple Concerto" for keyboard, violin and flute is a challenge, containing a lot of brilliant passage work. The less formidable slow movement was taken from the "Organ Sonata, No. 3". It is a companion to the Brandenburg "Concerto No. 5", the first movement of which is included on this album. This music is extremely rewarding and enjoyable for study. Vivaldi's "Concerto In D Minor" was originally written for oboe, but is equally at home on the flute. Both are baroque music at its best. This book/CD package consists of a printed music score and a compact disc which includes two versions of each song from the book. The first is a complete version with soloist, that you can practice along with. The second version is a full stereo orchestral accompaniment, minus the soloist, that you will use for performances!
