| The Music Of Free Flight

This book is designed to give the jazz musician insight into the improvisational talents of the members of the group Free Flight. Although the music is advanced in nature, even young musicians will benefit from listening to and working on these solos. This book is available for flute, B Flat instruments, alto saxophone, and piano, and each book includes a CD recording of the original performance as well. The CD has two versions of each tune: the first version allows you to "dial out" either the flute or the piano by adjusting the balance knob, and the second version works the same way for bass and drums, allowing any of the four instrumentalists an opportunity to play along.
This music is not particularly easy, but is highly recommended for any intermediate or advanced players.
